About the Free FiveM Speedometer & Car HUD Script
The Goodara Speedometer is a free FiveM speedometer and car HUD. Get in a vehicle and it shows your speed, gear, RPM, fuel, engine damage, seatbelt, lights, indicators, handbrake and cruise control. Get out and it is gone.
Install: put the folder in resources, add ensure goodara_speedometer to server.cfg, and restart.
What's inside
- 3 layouts – a round dial with an RPM arc, a wide strip with a segmented RPM bar, or a small compact block.
- Player settings –
/hudopens a small panel to pick the layout, size, position and unit, and to hide the minimap on foot. Saved on each player's PC. - km/h or mph – players switch with
/speedunit. - Aircraft and boats – planes and helicopters show knots and altitude, boats show knots.
- Warnings – the engine icon turns orange and red as the engine gets damaged, fuel turns red when low, and the seatbelt icon blinks when you drive unbuckled.
- Cleaner screen – optionally hides the default GTA vehicle name, area and street texts while you drive.
Light on resources
On foot it does almost nothing. In a vehicle it reads the car every 60 ms and only updates the UI when a value on screen changed.
Works on any server
Standalone, no framework needed: ESX, QBCore, Qbox and vRP. Fuel is read from the vehicle state bag (ox_fuel and others), LegacyFuel, cdn-fuel or ps-fuel, or the game itself. Seatbelt and cruise control light up when your scripts set LocalPlayer.state.seatbelt or LocalPlayer.state.cruise. Colours and sizes are in one CSS file, every command can be renamed or turned off.
