About the Free FiveM Seatbelt & Cruise Control Script

The Goodara Seatbelt & Cruise Control is a free FiveM seatbelt script. Press B to buckle up. Without a belt you fly through the windscreen in a hard crash, and a chime warns you while you drive unbuckled. Press Y to hold your speed, or cap it with /limiter 80.

Install: put the folder in resources, add ensure goodara_seatbelt to server.cfg, and restart.

What's inside

  • Seatbelt – B buckles and unbuckles with a click. While buckled you can't get out of the car until you unbuckle.
  • Windscreen ejection – unbuckled, a hard crash throws you out of the front at the car's speed, with ragdoll and damage. Speed and impact thresholds are in the config.
  • Warning chime – unbuckled above a set speed, a chime plays and the belt icon blinks red.
  • Cruise control – Y holds the speed you drive at. Hold W to go faster and the new speed is kept. Brake, handbrake or a crash releases it.
  • Speed limiter – /limiter 80 caps your top speed, /limiter off removes it.
  • Small indicator – seatbelt, cruise and limiter icons at the bottom of the screen. Colours and position in theme.css, or turn it off if your HUD shows the seatbelt.

Made for your HUD

  • Sets LocalPlayer.state.seatbelt and LocalPlayer.state.cruise, so any HUD or script can read them, client or server side.
  • Sends the seatbelt:client:ToggleSeatbelt and seatbelt:client:ToggleCruise events that qb-hud and ps-hud listen for.
  • Motorcycles, bicycles, boats and aircraft have no seatbelt. km/h or mph.

Works on any server

Standalone, with no framework or other resource needed. Works on ESX, QBCore, Qbox and vRP. Uses ox_lib notifications when ox_lib runs. Keys can be rebound by every player in the FiveM key bindings, and it only runs every frame while you sit in a vehicle.
