Free FiveM Car Lock & Keys Script – Lock, Lockpick, Share Keys

The Goodara Car Lock & Keys is a free FiveM car lock script. Players hold keys per number plate and press L near their car to lock or unlock it: a key fob animation, a horn chirp, flashing lights and a small toast with the plate.

Install: put the folder in resources, add ensure goodara_carlock and add_ace group.admin goodara.carlock allow to server.cfg, and restart.

What's inside

• Lock and unlock – the closest car you hold a key for, within a range you set. Locked cars cannot be entered without a key.
• Share keys – /givekey hands a copy to the closest player.
• Lockpick – a command and a usable lockpick item on ESX, QBCore and ox_inventory, with success and break chances.
• Hotwire and search – in an NPC car without a key, hold E to hotwire it or press G to look for a spare key.
• Locked NPC cars – choose what share of parked NPC cars is locked.
• Dispatch hook – one function in the config to alert police on a lockpick or hotwire.
• Saved keys – in MySQL through oxmysql, or in a JSON file when there is no database.

For staff

/removekeys takes every key for a plate away and /addkey gives a player a key, both behind an ACE permission and from the server console.

Works on any server

Standalone, no framework needed. Garages and dealerships give keys with exports.goodara_carlock:GiveKey(source, plate), and scripts written for qb-vehiclekeys work without changes. The server checks every key, distance and chance. When idle the script only checks twice a second.
