Why the M cars earn a whole shelf
BMW is the largest single brand in the Goodara catalog, and the M cars are the reason. They fit almost every role a roleplay server has: a first fast car for a new player, a tuner build for the car-meet crowd, an unmarked pursuit car, a gang's four-door. One model name also spans decades of body styles, which matters because a player who asks for an M3 usually means one specific generation.
That is how this guide is organised: by model, then by chassis code. The codes in brackets on each listing (E46, F80, G82 and so on) are BMW's own generation names, and they are the quickest way to tell two listings with the same model name apart. All of these cars are debadged add-ons that keep their real names; the lore-friendly alternatives are covered further down.
BMW M3: E30 to G80
The M3 has the deepest coverage. The classic end starts with the BMW M3 (E30) and runs through the E36, which comes as a standard car, a tuned coupe, a convertible and two builder editions (by Kyza and CK). The E46 is listed both as the road car and as the M3 GTR (E46), the race-derived version. The E92 coupe has two listings.
For the modern cars there are two F80 sedans, the BMW M3 (F80) and the 2016 BMW M3 (F80), which is a free download at the time of writing and a good way to test how the cars install before you buy. The current G80 comes as the BMW M3 (G80) and as a G80 with M Performance parts. The BMW M3 Touring (G81) Widebody is the estate version with a wide-body kit.
A few listings are builds rather than generations: the BMW M3 (Custom), the M3 'Joker' and the BMW M3 (Demon Widebody). Treat those as one-off cars for a tuner shop or a single character rather than dealership stock.
BMW M4: F82, G82 and the tuner builds
The M4 is the coupe counterpart, and its listings split the same way. The F82 generation is covered by the BMW M4 (F82), the M4 Competition and the track-focused BMW M4 GTS. The newer G82 comes as the BMW M4 Competition (G82) and a second G82 listing that comes with a tuning kit.
The M4 also has the most tuner-house builds in the range: the BMW M4 (Liberty Walk), the M4 (Speedhunters), the M4 (Unikat) and the M4 'Off-White' (CK). The BMW M4 GT3 is a race car, listed in the Race class, and suits track events rather than street traffic.
BMW M5: E39 to G60
The M5 is the four-door of the family and the natural pick for anything that has to carry a crew. The E39 has four listings: two standard cars, an M-Tech version and a widebody by Royal Custom. After that the range runs E60, F10 and F90, with the F90 available as the 2019 BMW M5 (F90) and the 2022 BMW M5 CS (F90). The newest shape, the G60, comes as a standard car and as a widebody.
If you are choosing one M5 for a dealership, pick by the era your server leans towards. The E39 and E60 suit a city with older traffic, and the F90 and G60 are the cars players will recognise from current showrooms.
M2, M6 and M8
The M2 is the small coupe: a BMW M2, the 2023 BMW M2 with the newer body and a Custom BMW M2. The M8 sits at the other end as the grand tourer, with two standard listings, the 2020 BMW M8, a Mansory edition and a widebody. The M6 appears as two tuned cars, the BMW M6 (Prior Design) and the BMW M6 (Tuned), plus the classic BMW M6 / 6 Series (E24) for a period-correct eighties coupe.
Across the range, the widebody and tuner-house builds are priced a few dollars above the stock bodies. That gives a dealership an easy two-tier structure: the standard car as the base model and the widebody as the premium one.
Lore-friendly alternatives: the Ubermacht line
If your server uses GTA-style names, the certified lore-friendly collection covers the same cars under the Ubermacht make. For the M3 there are the Ubermacht R3M and Sentinel SG7 CTX (G80), the Sentinel RTS (E46), the M36 (E36), and the B30 and Sentinel DTM (E30), plus the Cypher Wagon II as the M3 Touring (G81). For the M4 there are the G4 M82, Niobe Beast and R4 RS (G82), the Sentinel F38 and Sentinel MK4 (F82) and the GT4 DTM (M4 CSL).
The Ubermacht Cyphart stands in for the M2 (G87), with three more M2 stand-ins in the Cypher line. The Rhinehart E60 and Rhinehart Beast cover the M5, and the Sentinel R8 Beast the M8 Competition. Each of these is renamed and carries no real-world badges, where the debadged cars above keep the BMW name.
Police and EMS versions
The M cars also exist as emergency units, which is useful if your department wants an interceptor that matches what players drive. There are two police M3s, the BMW M3 (Police) and the BMW M3 2020 – Police, and two police M5s, the BMW M5 (Police) and the BMW M5 RoCars – Police. For medical response there is the BMW M5 (EMS/Medic).
Pack, singles and sound
Buy singles when your players ask for a generation by name. If you just want the M badge represented in the showroom, the BMW M Pack bundles four BMW M add-on cars for less than buying them one at a time.
Engine sound is the other upgrade worth making. The catalog has a BMW M4 S55 inline-six sound with an Akrapovic exhaust and two versions of the M3 GTR's P60B40 V8. A sound is a separate resource that you assign to a car through the audioNameHash line in its vehicles.meta, so one sound can serve several cars. The engine sounds guide covers the install.
