What an EMS garage needs
EMS is the job that decides whether a server's big scenes work. A shootout or a pile-up is only fun if someone turns up to treat the people on the ground, and the medics need vehicles that suit the job: something that carries a patient, something that gets a paramedic there first, and something that fits through traffic.
That gives three roles, and the EMS catalog is built around them. There are three ambulances, seven fast-response medic vehicles and one motorcycle. All eleven are debadged add-ons; the certified lore-friendly collection currently covers police roles rather than EMS.
Ambulances
The patient-transport vehicle is the one piece you cannot skip. The catalog has three: the Ambulance, the Ambulance (v2) and the Ambulance (v3). They are three separate listings, each with its own spawn code, so a larger service can give each station its own and a smaller one can simply pick the look it prefers.
Two ambulances is a reasonable minimum for a server with an active EMS team, so that a second call does not have to wait for the first crew to clear.
Fast-response medic cars
A response car gets a single paramedic to the scene ahead of the ambulance. The catalog's medic cars are built on performance models, which is the point: the Audi RS6 (EMS/Medic), the Audi RS7 (EMS/Medic) and the BMW M5 (EMS/Medic) are the quick estate and sedans, and the BMW 7 Series (EMS/Medic) is the larger car for a supervisor or doctor.
For rough ground and bad weather there are two SUVs, the Audi RS Q8 (EMS/Medic) and the BMW X5 (EMS/Medic), and a pickup, the Dodge RAM (EMS/Medic), which suits a rural or fire-and-rescue style service. If your police department already runs the Audi RS6 or BMW M5 police units, using the EMS versions of the same cars makes the two services look like parts of one city.
The EMS motorcycle
The Yamaha (EMS Motorcycle) is the specialist of the set. A bike reaches a casualty through a traffic jam or down a pier where a van cannot go. It is not a first purchase, but it gives an experienced medic a distinct role, and distinct roles are what keep an EMS roster interested.
The EMS Pack, or singles
The EMS Pack bundles three EMS add-on vehicles for less than buying three singles, each with its own spawn code. It is the simple way to open a department. Singles make sense when you want a specific vehicle, a particular ambulance or the motorcycle, or when you are adding one more role to a garage that already works.
A sensible starting garage is two ambulances and one response car. Add an SUV or the pickup if your map has a lot of countryside, and the motorcycle once the team is large enough to specialise.
Adding EMS vehicles to your ambulance job
Each vehicle is a standard add-on resource. Unzip it, put the folder in your resources directory, add an ensure line for it to server.cfg and restart. The spawn code is printed on the product page (the Ambulance, for example, spawns as DLAmbulance), so you can test it with your admin spawn command straight away.
Spawning as an admin is not the same as medics being able to use it. To put a vehicle in the station garage, add its spawn code to your ambulance job's authorised vehicle list: qb-ambulancejob's config on QBCore, esx_ambulancejob's config on ESX. Both group vehicles by job grade, so you can keep the response cars for senior medics. If the hospital uses a separate garage script, register the spawn codes there as well.
