The Best FiveM JDM Cars

Supra, GT-R, RX-7 or Evo? Here is the JDM shelf for FiveM by model, what separates the stock cars from the widebody builds, and the engine sounds that go with them.

What a JDM shelf needs

Every roleplay server ends up with a car-meet scene, and that scene runs on Japanese cars. The players who care about it know exactly what they want: a specific Supra, a specific Skyline, an RX-7 that sounds like a rotary. A dealership that offers one generic tuner car will lose them to a server that has the real list.

The good news is that the list is short. Four families cover most requests: the Toyota Supra, the Nissan GT-R and Skyline, the Mazda RX-7 and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Add a Subaru, a Silvia and a Honda and the meet looks complete. Most models here come in two forms, a stock-bodied car and one or more builds with a named tuner's body kit (Hycade, Liberty Walk, Varis, Veilside), and the kitted builds are priced a few dollars higher. All are debadged add-ons that keep their real names.

Toyota Supra: MK4 and A90

The MK4 is the Supra most players mean. The Toyota Supra A80 (MK4) is the stock-bodied car, and the Toyota Supra MK4 (Hycade) is the body-kit build. Two more kitted cars, the Supra (Varis) and the Supra (Pandem/Rocket Bunny), and a Toyota Supra (Custom) round out the older shape.

The current car is the Toyota GR Supra (A90), with the Toyota Supra A90 (Speedhunters) as its show-car build. The Toyota GT86 (Trust/GReddy) is the lighter, cheaper Toyota coupe for players starting out.

Nissan GT-R and Skyline: R33, R34, R35 and R36

The Skyline listings go by generation. The Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 has two listings. The R34 has the most variety: the Nissan Skyline R34, a Hycade-kitted build, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 2JZ Widebody, which ships with its own custom engine sound. There is also an unmarked police R34.

The R35 is the modern GT-R and the deepest part of the shelf: the Nissan GT-R, the 2020 Nissan GT-R Nismo, the GT-R R35 (Liberty Walk), the GT-R (Hycade), the GT-R R35 (Secret) and two GTZ builds. Beyond that sit two R36 listings, one of them tagged as a concept, and the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign, which is listed with the supercars. A police GT-R Nismo exists for departments that want an interceptor.

Mazda RX-7 and the rotaries

The RX-7 comes as the Mazda RX-7, the Mazda RX-7 (FD), which names the generation, and the Mazda RX-7 (Veilside) with the Veilside body kit. The RX-8 has two listings, and the Mazda MX-5 Miata (NA) is the small roadster for a budget slot.

A rotary car with a piston-engine sound never feels right, so this is the family where a matching sound matters most. The catalog has several: the 13B-REW twin-rotor, an RX-7 FD3S sound, a bridgeported 13B, the RX-8's Renesis and three- and four-rotor 20B and 26B sounds for a build that is meant to be heard.

Lancer Evolution, WRX STI and the rally cars

The Evo is covered by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, the Evolution IX, the Evolution X, a Lancer Evo IX (Drift) build and the Hycade-kitted Mitsubishi Evo (Hycade). The 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX is the other Mitsubishi worth a showroom slot.

Its natural rival is the Subaru: the Subaru WRX, the WRX STI, the Impreza WRX STI (Blob Eye), a WRX STI (Hycade) build and the Subaru Impreza (RB26 Swap), an engine-swapped oddity for a tuner shop. The 2013 Subaru BRZ (Varis Widebody) covers the rear-drive coupe.

Silvia, Z cars and Honda

For drifting, the Nissan S-chassis is the standard answer: the Nissan 240SX, the Silvia, the Silvia S15 and Silvia S15 (Lunar), a Silvia S14 (Drag) and the Silvia S14 (Demon Widebody). The Z cars add the Nissan 350Z, a 350Z (Drift) build and the 370Z (Formula Drift). The drift cars guide covers how to set those up.

Honda fills the front-drive corner: the Honda Civic, the 2020 Honda Civic, the Civic Type R FK8 and an animated FK8 Widebody, plus the Honda S2000 (AP2) as the roadster.

Lore-friendly JDM alternatives

The certified lore-friendly collection covers the same families under GTA-style names. The Dinka Jester line stands in for the Supra: the Jester Classic Hycade, Jester GP-R, Jester IV Beast and Jester MK IV Beast for the MK4, and the Jester MK V and Jester Widebody for the GR Supra (A90). The Annis Elegy line stands in for the GT-R: the Elegy RH7, RH7 Hicat, RH8 Hycade and RH82 for the R35, the Elegy Sanshi and Elegy Z2 for the R34 and the Elegy RH5 CTX for the R32.

The Annis ZR350 GP-R, ZR350 Hycade and ZR390 stand in for the Mazda RX-7 (FD). The Karin Kuruma Hycade stands in for the Lancer Evolution X, and the Karin Sultan Classic Rally, Sultan RS CTX and Sultan RS Drift for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The Annis Remus Custom and Remus II cover the Silvia S13 and the Karin Futo GTX the Toyota AE86. Each is renamed and carries no real-world badges.

Packs and matching engine sounds

Three packs cover this shelf. The JDM Starter Pack bundles four JDM add-on cars, the Nissan GT-R Pack bundles three GT-R add-ons, and the Lore-Friendly JDM & Sport Pack bundles 16 certified cars under GTA-style names. Buy singles for the specific models your players name and let a pack fill the rest of the row.

Then give the cars their engines. The catalog has the Toyota 2JZ-GTE and 1JZ inline-sixes, the Supra A90's B58, the Nissan RB26DETT, the R35's VR38DETT, the SR20DET, both Evo engines (4G63T and 4B11T), the Subaru EJ25 flat-four and Honda's K20A and F20C. The JDM Legends Engine Sound Pack is the bundle option. Sounds are separate resources assigned through the audioNameHash line in a car's vehicles.meta, so one RB26 sound can serve every Skyline you own.
