How to Add a Gang and Territory System to FiveM
· 7 min read

Gang and territory systems give your criminal players structure, goals and conflict — the ingredients of memorable RP. Done badly, they turn into deathmatch. Here's how to set one up that actually creates story.
What a gang system provides
- Gang membership, ranks and shared resources.
- Territory ownership that can be contested.
- Income tied to controlled turf — a reason to fight.
1. Choose a gang script
Look for one that integrates with your framework's job/gang data and your inventory. Quality matters here — turf systems touch a lot of other resources. Premium options from our partner Glory Scripts are a good starting point.
2. Define territories and rewards
Map out zones and what controlling each one earns. The income has to be worth the risk, but not so high it becomes the only thing players do.
3. Set firm rules
Territory RP lives or dies on rules — initiation, fair fights, no random deathmatch. Enforce them through staff and a tight whitelist so only players who respect the format get in.
4. Give gangs the right vehicles
Crews want cars with attitude. Stock the streets with muscle and sport builds — and browse our partner Five Garage for even more options.
Gangs work best on a server that already has a stable economy and core scripts in place — build the foundation first, then add the conflict.
